Feedback:
Reverse engineering to me is instead of making a new product you take a product that already been made apart to see how it works or how you can make it better. Companies use reveres engineering to make their products batter or to fix a minor problem in the product. They do this to save time and money, instead of having to make a new product that can use reveres engineering to fix the problem in less time and with a smaller amount of money than if they had to create a new product. Companies will also use revere engineering to try to make a better product than their competitors. They take apart their competitors product and they figure out how it works and how they could create a product better than what their competitors have. Reverse engineering id easier allows you to understand the whole product and problem solve with the feedback you have already received while forward engineering you have to build the product then wait for the feedback before you can do anything with the product. Reverse engineers helps you keep loyal customer because they already love the product you built and it also helps gain new customers because engineers’ are always upgrading their products add new features that new customers want in that product .
Some constraint with this project was the size and weight of the television. The television had to be light enough for them to carry and it had to be big enough to be able to fit in a small apartment or a senior’s only condo. Another constraint would be price; the television had to be affordable for a senior citizen on a fixed income. The television also had to be available in more than one colure. Some criteria for the television were that I had to accommodate senior citizens with poor hearing and sight and it had to have a slowed down closed caption that was easy to read. The criteria help in developing a new product because you know what you have and you know you what you need to the product to make it more profitable to your targeted audience. The keep components that required an upgrade was the size of the television. We needed to make the screens larger while reducing the length at the back so it became thinner. We had to improve on the speaker quality and add two speakers instead of one. Bigger buttons on the television that where clear and easy to read. The frame of the television needed to be upgraded to something more appealing. The process we used for this project was that we first drew a detail picture of the television before we took it apart. Then we took to television apart and drew another detail picture of all of the parts in the television. Then we went to work researching the parts used to make the television and we looked to see if we could find a better substitute for those parts. We answered question concerning the television and how we could make it better. Then we drew our an improved version of the television that met all the criteria we needed to meet
I felt that this project was fun and really hands on. We learned thing that we probably wouldn’t completely grasp if it had just been told to us. It was really fun to take the television apart and I really like it .This was a really fun project and I hope we do more like this.
