Product: (DS13980 Sanyo Television)
Targeted Audience: (Senior Citizens (Retired))
Feedback:
Reverse engineering is the process of discovering the technological principles of a mechanical application through analysis of its structure, function and operation. Usually to construct a new device or program that does the same thing without actually copying anything from the original. Reverse engineering is the process of deconstructing a system in order to learn how it works and how to make it do things it wasn't designed to do while forward engineering just adds new features to the same product but making it better. It keeps the same customers by making the product the old product better so customer’s would want to buy it and new customers would want to buy it because it would be a new product and it would look different with new features and functions.
The criteria were making the product senior citizen friendly and making it was they could enjoy their television. The new product fixed most of the constraints like adding AV jacks, adding better subtitles, making the product lighter but still adding a bigger screen. We were able to avoid having the same problems as before. The speaker, the screen, the color, and the cable all needed to be upgraded. First we took apart the product next we sketched the components of the product the we researched after that we design our own product.

In conclusion I think the product was a success. I learned a lot during this process. I learned what reverse engineering was and how to use it. Reverse engineering is a great process and any company that uses it is more than likely successful. In the near future I hope to use the reverse engineering process again.
