Targeted Audience: Senior Citizens (retired)

Reverse engineering is taking apart a product in order to reproduce or enhance the product. It is practiced within the industry so that they can better their products and keep their customers coming back. With forward engineering, you build the product, and then you wait for the feedback. Once you get the feedback you can begin reverse engineering. With reverse engineering, you know what your problem is, and you can enhance your product. That is the main difference between reverse and forward engineering. You don’t know that there is a problem with forward engineering until you get your feedback, but with reverse engineering you already know what is wrong. This helps to keep loyal customers while gaining new customers because it shows that the industry actually cares about the quality of their products causing others to want their products more and more.
In order for this product to be successful for retired senior citizens, the design must provide limited features both on the device and its remote control. The design needs more speakers in order to accommodate the hearing-impaired. The design must accommodate consumers with poor vision, so the screen size should increase. The design must also accommodate closed-caption large enough for poor vision. The retail price shouldn’t exceed $299.99, and it should only be available in three colors: black, silver, and white.
I think that this product will be a success. Retired senior citizens will love its inexpensive price. They will also love the fact that’s it lighter than before and easier to lift. The product previously had one speaker, but now that more speakers will be added to it, the sound quality will be much greater. Also, the screen will be bigger and the quality of the videos being displayed will be better as well. Customers will love it.
